The 9^thNEXTEV Formula Student Electric China (FSEC) concluded on December 2, 2018. After six-day competition, Hunan University Electric Racing Team (ERT) ranked 8^thin static events and 23^rdin total score. ERT was awarded the third prize.

The NEXTEV FSEC was hosted by the China Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE-China). Participating teams are required to design and manufacture an electric racing car within one year. This year a total of 989 people from 48 college teams took part in.

ERT prepared well for its first participation in the FSEC. In 2017, ERT transformed its energy-efficient car into electric car according to the requirements of the MVE. Built on the existing car-making experience, ERT redesigned, processed, and assembled a brand-new electric race car—E16 to compete in the much-anticipated 2018 NEXTEV FSEC.
