The 9thNEXTEV Formula Student Electric China (FSEC) concluded on December 2, 2018. After six-day competition, Hunan University Electric Racing Team (ERT) ranked 8thin static events and 23rdin total score. ERT was awarded the third prize.
The NEXTEV FSEC was hosted by the China Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE-China). Participating teams are required to design and manufacture an electric racing car within one year. This year a total of 989 people from 48 college teams took part in.
ERT prepared well for its first participation in the FSEC. In 2017, ERT transformed its energy-efficient car into electric car according to the requirements of the MVE. Built on the existing car-making experience, ERT redesigned, processed, and assembled a brand-new electric race car—E16 to compete in the much-anticipated 2018 NEXTEV FSEC.
