Hunan University Racing Team (HUR) competed in theFormula Student Germany (FSG) 2018 in Hockenheim, which concluded on August 12.

A total of 118 racing teams from 25 countries and regions qualified for the competition. The competition consisted of three categories:combustion engine, electric engine, and driverless. HUR challenged in the combustion vehicle category. It was required to first build a formula racecar within a specific time. HUR can compete on the track only after passing expert evaluation. Besides car speed, engineering design, performance on track, financing planning, and marketing model were also the factors influencing thefinal score.

HUR passed rigoroustest, and competed in dynamic events such as autocross and endurance.

Apart from HUR, the other racing team from China at the FSG 2018 is HUAT from Hubei University of Automobile Technology.
